₹20,000 to Farmers Under Annadata Scheme: Achennayudu
Minister Achennayudu announces that eligible farmers in Andhra Pradesh will receive ₹20,000 annually under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, in addition to the ₹6,000 from the central government. The government is also considering ways to assist tenant farmers. An independent committee will investigate corruption under the 'Aadudam Andhra' initiative.

Amaravati: Minister Achennayudu stated in the legislative assembly that, as promised in the manifesto and during the election campaign, the government will provide ₹20,000 annually to each eligible farmer under the "Annadata Sukhibhava" scheme. He further mentioned that this amount will be provided in addition to the ₹6,000 given by the central government, combining for a total amount to be credited to the farmer's account. According to AP Web Land, 43 lakh people are set to benefit from the PM Kisan scheme. Along with them, around 9-10 lakh farmers will receive this amount in May.
Achennayudu also announced that ₹6,300 crores have been allocated in the budget for this purpose. He added that the government is considering ways to assist tenant farmers as well. The minister emphasized that the government will continue to support farmers in every way possible, with the welfare of farmers being the primary focus. He also stated that the previous YSRCP government had deceived farmers, but the alliance government will stand by them. Achennayudu further mentioned that during the YSRCP rule, the agricultural sector suffered severely, citing issues like lack of land surveys, agricultural machinery, and non-payment of crop insurance.
Minister Mandipalli Rampasad Reddy commented on the large-scale corruption that occurred under the 'Aadudam Andhra' initiative during the YSRCP rule. He announced that an independent committee would be formed to investigate the matter, and a report would be submitted within 45 days. Additionally, Speaker Ayinapathrudu stated that traditional sports competitions and cultural programs will be held for the members of the Legislative Assembly on March 18, 19, and 20, as part of the budget session.
